New Generation Construction is pleased to award our 2022-2023 annual student scholarship facilitated by the Northeast Community College Foundation. Congratulations Colton R., a Western Nebraska native, for receiving NGC’s financial gift for enrollment in the Norfolk-based community college’s Building Construction program and for maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher.
“After completing the construction program at Northeast, I plan to enter into the workforce. I hope to have my foot in the door with numerous companies through my internship and work ethic in the classroom. After being in the workforce and gaining more knowledge on my trade, I plan to begin my own business focusing on interior construction/remodeling,” said Colton.

It also provides me the opportunity to take part and enjoy a program that I have a strong passion for. Thanks again

Dr. Tracy Kruse, Vice President of Development and External Affairs and the Executive Director of the Northeast Foundation said, “We are proud to work with New Generation Construction and offer this annual scholarship. We have many students apply for scholarships and unfortunately we are not able to support them all. Working with employers like NGC who benefit from a highly skilled workforce is a win-win situation. With their support, we are able bridge the funding gap and launch students into the building construction industry.”
Scholarships, along with other private donations, provide Northeast enrollees with a rich and powerful education many need-based students couldn’t achieve without the helpful generosity of companies like NGC. Last year, 526 Northeast scholarships were presented in the amount of $471, 024.00. The foundation and student recipients are grateful for local donors investing in the communities across Nebraska, as nine out of ten Northeast graduates remain nearby to live, work and raise their families in Nebraska.
